The Email Builder lets you design custom HTML email templates with a drag-and-drop interface. Once published, your templates become available to Email Campaigns of type Email Template, so you can send branded, personalized emails to your attendees.
Create a New Template
This feature lets you create a new email template tied to your event.
Steps:
- Open the Email Builder page.
- Click the Create Template button at the top of the template list.
- In the dialog, fill in:
- Template Name (required) — a clear, descriptive name for your template.
- Description (optional) — a short note about the purpose of the template.
- Click Create. The workspace opens in a new tab so you can start designing.
Choose a Starting Template
When the workspace opens for the first time, the Choose a Template modal appears with four starter designs.
- Blank Canvas — start from scratch with a clean, professional layout.
- Event Reminder — friendly reminder for upcoming events with event details.
- Event Feedback — survey request email for event attendees with feedback form.
- Event Ticket — ticket confirmation email with QR code for event registration.
Click your preferred option to populate the canvas. Every element can be edited, rearranged, or removed afterwards.
Workspace Layout
The workspace splits into three areas:
- Top header — shows the Email Builder title on the left, Desktop/Mobile device toggles in the center, and toolbar actions on the right (undo, clear canvas, toggle borders) followed by the Save and Publish buttons.
- Center canvas — the email itself, rendered in a live preview iframe. Drag elements here from the right sidebar.
- Right sidebar — five tabs: Blocks, Variables, Styles, Layers, and Settings.
Adding Blocks
The Blocks tab in the right sidebar contains all the building elements for your email. Drag any block onto the canvas to add it.
Block groups
- Content Elements — Text, Image, Button, Divider, Spacer, Social Links, Table.
- Structure Layouts — 1 Column, 2 Columns (multiple variants), 3 Columns (multiple variants), 4 Columns, 5 Columns.
- Pre-Built Sections — Hero Section, Image + Text, Image Right, Event Highlights, Footer, Event Details, Greeting, Call to Action, Ticket.
Inserting Variables
Variables are placeholders that get replaced with actual recipient data when the email is sent. For example, {HOLDER_NAME} becomes the attendee's real name.
Steps:
- Click the Variables tab in the right sidebar.
- Choose how to insert a variable:
- Drag and drop the variable onto the canvas, or
- Click the Copy button next to the variable and paste it anywhere in your text.
Available Variables
| Variable | Description |
|---|---|
{EVENT_NAME} |
Name of the event. |
{EVENT_DATE_TIME} |

{HOLDER_NAME} |
Name of the ticket holder. |
{FULL_TICKET} |

Styles & Layers
Use the remaining sidebar tabs to fine-tune your email:
- Styles — change typography, colors, spacing, and borders for the selected element.
- Layers — view a tree of every component in your email. Click a layer to select that element on the canvas.
- Settings — adjust template-level settings.
Previewing Your Email
Preview how your email will look on different screen sizes before publishing.
Steps:
- Use the device toggles in the top toolbar.
- Switch between Desktop and Mobile views to validate responsiveness.
Save and Publish
There are two save modes for your template:
- Save — stores your changes as a Draft. An amber dot appears on the button when you have unsaved changes.
- Publish — marks the template as ready and makes it available to Email Campaigns.
Manage Templates
On the Email Builder list page, each template card includes the following actions:
- Edit — opens the workspace in a new tab.
- Publish — publishes a draft template. The button label changes to Re-publish once the template has already been published.
- Delete — removes the template (confirmation required).
The detail panel on the right shows Template Info (Status, Last Updated, Created) along with a live Email Preview iframe.
Use Your Template in an Email Campaign
Once a template is published, it becomes selectable from the Email Campaign module.
Steps:
